Meet Our Team

Douglas B. Marks
Attorney at Law
Doug Marks enjoys serving the residents and businesses of North Idaho, where he grew up and continues to live. But over his three-decade career, he has also served many business clients nationwide as their outside general counsel. He now focuses mostly on estate planning, but he still represents several mid-sized corporate clients and smaller start-ups, both locally and outside the state.
Doug was one of the original founders of Panhandle Alliance for Education (PAFE) in 2002, which has donated millions of dollars to Sandpoint area teachers to support education, and he has served in community organizations like the Boy Scouts and has consistently served in his church.
Doug enjoys helping clients understand how they can protect their assets and pass them along to future generations and charities without conflict and unneeded expense. He also enjoys helping businesses as they get started and grow into solid enterprises, and he's been involved in many successful businesses himself. His clients appreciate his approachable personality and the practical perspective he brings to business decisions.

Jeffrey G. Marks
Paralegal
Jeff Marks is proud to be part of a large fifth-generation Sandpoint family. He has a diverse background and experience that uniquely situates him to interact effectively and pleasantly with people from all walks of life. He graduated with a Philosophy degree from the University of Idaho in 2003 and joined the firm as a paralegal and notary in 2020.
Jeff is an active listener, pays strong attention to detail, and has great organizational skills. Clients love Jeff’s humor and easy-going approach.
Jeff loves being in his shop, beautifying his acreage, hanging out with his grandkids, and “keeping it real.” On clear country nights, he can be found looking up at the night sky (still trying to use that philosophy degree) and pondering the mysteries of the universe.
